In Memoriam S.C.A. was commissioned by the 125th Anniversary Committee of Hampton University, and is composed for Symphonic Wind Ensemble with SATB Chorus. The title refers to the founder of Hampton University, General Samuel Chapman Armstrong. The texts are from the memoirs of General Chapman Armstrong.
