Violin Concerto: The Ascension (2018)

Violin Concerto: The Ascension was composed during the winter/spring of 2018 for Hal Grossman, who is Professor of Violin at the University of Oregon.  The solo violin represents an “ascent” to higher experiences. This representation is amplified in a “postmodern” manner through the chamber orchestra accompaniment. The work is to be performed attacca.
